Work experience

2025–Present: MageLabs Inc. (Tokyo, Japan), Co-founder & CEO.

2019–2025: R&D Center GeoTEC LLC (Russia), Head of software development.

  • Managed a team of 9-14 software engineers, ranging from juniors to leads.
  • Served as a systems architect, ensuring technical integrity and driving key engineering decisions across all projects.
  • Led the end-to-end delivery of several commercially successful multi-year projects, strictly adhering to deadlines.
  • Directed hiring, compensation planning, and performance management.
  • Implemented a code review system to facilitate mentorship and quality control.

2010–2019: R&D Center GeoTEC LLC (Russia), Software engineer.

  • Architected a domain-specific language ecosystem for Prime (a platform for petrophysical interpretation). Built an optimizing compiler (OCaml), a runtime system (C), and a dedicated IDE (Delphi). Led the product’s entire lifecycle and conducted internal training workshops.
  • Modernized the software kernel of Prime (Delphi), leading the re-engineering of legacy subsystems.
  • Implemented a variety of tools for petrophysical interpretation (in Delphi), including interactive visualization and scientific computing.
  • Engineered internal infrastructure and build automation tools (Python).
  • Pioneered a competitive internship program, establishing a pipeline for selecting top talent through local programming contests.
  • Personally recruited over 10 software engineers, leveraging professional networks to scale the team.
